Corsets, lace, feathers and oversized bows collide in a wardrobe that refuses to settle into a single identity. Colours interrupt one another, decades overlap and familiar codes are rewritten through an almost obsessive accumulation of beauty.

Perhaps the beauty of fashion lies not only in what we choose to wear, but also in everything we allow ourselves to imagine.

What if nature was never meant to be innocent?

For SS27, Miguel Castro Freitas lets @muglerofficial return to instinct. Insects, flowers, feathers and animal skins are magnified, distorted and reconstructed until the body begins to resemble something no longer entirely human.

Nature becomes artificial. The artificial starts to feel alive. Feathers grow from unexpected places, flowers mutate into plastic and familiar Mugler curves become the anatomy of imaginary creatures.

Inspired by Björk’s radical freedom, the collection finds beauty in transformation rather than perfection. A world where the body is not something fixed, but something capable of becoming endlessly strange.

Because at Mugler, evolution was never about becoming more human.

For his first Haute Couture collection at @jeanpaulgaultier, @duranlantikyo chose transformation over nostalgia. Rather than recreating the house’s most iconic codes, he treated couture as a living organism, reshaping silhouettes, distorting proportions and challenging the relationship between garment and body.

Historical references surfaced only to be manipulated: exaggerated volumes, sculptural tailoring and hybrid constructions turned familiar forms into something unexpectedly contemporary. The body became fluid, constantly redefined by the clothes it wore.

  • What if heritage didn’t have to feel heavy?

For SS27, Jonathan Anderson lets @dior move with the air. The architecture of the house begins to soften: tailoring becomes transparent, flowers float around the body and familiar silhouettes lose the rigidity that once defined them.

Nothing disappears. The Bar jacket is still there, the romance is still there, but the weight begins to dissolve.

There is something intimate about seeing history become this fragile. Tradition is no longer an armour to carry, but something that can move, change and breathe with the person wearing it.

Perhaps the lightest way forward is not to escape the past.

  • What if glamour didn’t need an occasion?

For @driesvannoten SS27, Julian Klausner imagines the moment when the actress leaves the set but keeps a little of the character with her.

Movie posters become dresses, sparkling brooches meet everyday shirts, evening pieces slip into daytime wardrobes and colours collide without asking to belong together. Everything feels dressed up, but never overly precious.

There is something intimate about this kind of glamour. It doesn’t wait for the evening, the camera or someone else’s attention. Sometimes it is simply a bright lip, a beautiful glove, or wearing something extraordinary on an entirely ordinary day.

  • What if the extraordinary was already hiding inside the ordinary?

For @balenciaga SS27, Pierpaolo Piccioli brings couture back into everyday life. A white shirt becomes sculptural, denim meets the precision of the atelier, while colour, fringe and organza grow around the body with the strange beauty of coral.

Nothing needs to become unrecognisable to feel new. The familiar remains familiar, only touched by another level of care.

There is freedom in that gesture: between structure and movement, simplicity and excess, the individual and everything that surrounds them.

Because sometimes transformation doesn’t mean becoming something else.

  • What happens when you let go of the weight?

For SS27, Louise Trotter lets Bottega Veneta breathe. Layers begin to fall away, leather becomes unexpectedly light and familiar techniques open up, allowing air, skin and movement to pass through.

Craft is everywhere, but it never feels precious. Intrecciato loosens, fringe moves around the body and flowers emerge from leather as if something rigid had suddenly learned how to grow.

There is a quiet sense of transition throughout. Between protection and exposure, structure and movement, one season and the next.

Nothing has been taken away. It has simply been made lighter.

  • Some things shine brighter because they cannot stay.

For SS27, Anthony Vaccarello covers @saintlaurent in gold. Sahariennes, sharp shoulders, liquid dresses and precious surfaces move through different shades of light, turning familiar codes of the house into something almost untouchable.

But beneath all the opulence, there is a strange sense of fragility. Gold becomes less about permanence than the beauty of a moment already beginning to disappear.

And then, after all that light, comes black.

Whether an ending or simply another chapter, the collection feels like a memory being created while we are still watching it.

  • What if fashion stopped taking itself so seriously?

For SS27, Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo enter @moschino by bringing fashion back to the people who actually wear it.

Everyday clothes are pushed slightly too far. Bodies are exaggerated, proportions become absurd and familiar ideas of beauty begin to look almost ridiculous. Humour is everywhere, but the joke is never completely innocent.

Rather than recreating Franco Moschino’s language, the duo seems interested in recovering his instinct: questioning fashion by playing with it.

Because sometimes the most serious thing you can do is refuse to behave seriously.

Real clothes. Unreal rules.

  • Who do you want to be tonight?

For SS27, Demna continues to build @gucci through characters rather than rules. Glamour becomes a performance: something worn, exaggerated and transformed depending on who steps inside it.

The familiar codes of the house return with a different tension. Sensuality meets restraint, polish brushes against something more provocative, and Italian elegance is allowed to become excessive, seductive, even slightly artificial.

There is no interest in defining one Gucci woman. Instead, identity becomes something fluid, constructed through clothes and changed whenever desire asks for it.

Because sometimes getting dressed isn’t about revealing who you are.

It’s about deciding who you want to become.

  • What do you keep when you don’t want to start again?

For SS27, Meryll Rogge doesn’t reinvent @marni. She takes it apart, quietly deciding what deserves to remain.

Familiar codes return slightly displaced: softness interrupts structure, sportswear slips into tailoring, proportions grow too large or unexpectedly small. Decoration becomes something almost accidental, as if pieces of the past have been found, moved and given another life.

There is still something strange about Marni, but the strangeness feels quieter now. Less interested in spectacle, more interested in the pleasure of noticing when something familiar has shifted.

Perhaps moving forward doesn’t always mean leaving things behind.

Keep the memory. Change the meaning.

  • What if clothes forgot what they were supposed to be?

For SS27, @mm6maisonmargiela takes the familiar and quietly moves everything out of place. Shirts become dresses, trousers shift into skirts, knitwear slips across the body. Nothing is completely transformed, yet nothing behaves quite as expected.

There is something instinctive about it: getting dressed before learning the rules of getting dressed. Familiar pieces are twisted, folded and displaced, allowing function to become suggestion rather than instruction.

It is not about creating something new, but finding possibility in what already exists. A wardrobe becomes interesting again the moment we stop wearing it correctly.

Wear it wrong. Make it yours.

  • I like my body when it is with your body.

For @fendi SS27, Maria Grazia Chiuri begins with intimacy. Lingerie escapes the bedroom, silk falls loosely against the skin and clothes seem to exist somewhere between getting dressed and getting undressed.

Then the room begins to fill.

Mirrors multiply the bodies, sequins catch the light and the quiet sensuality of the beginning slowly gives way to something louder, freer and more collective. With the spirit of Raffaella Carrà lingering in the background, dressing becomes less about being looked at and more about choosing how to be seen.

Because a body never really exists alone. It moves, desires, reflects and changes in the presence of another.

Intimacy becomes a celebration.

  • Perfection, slightly disturbed.

For SS27, Simone Bellotti takes the precision of @jilsander and allows something human to interfere.

Tailoring twists around the body, collars fall out of place, fabrics arrive already creased and immaculate uniforms slowly lose their composure. Everything feels considered, yet somehow touched by accident.

Because when minimalism is everywhere, perfection is no longer enough. Bellotti searches instead for the beauty of something slightly wrong: vulnerability inside discipline, instinct inside control.

Nothing is really broken. It has simply been lived in.

Perfection becomes interesting when it starts to slip.

  • What if the simplest thing could say everything?

For SS27, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons begin with a single gesture: the skirt. Repeated, distorted, stripped back and embellished, it becomes less a garment than a space for contradiction.

Leather meets transparency. A bra meets something almost bourgeois. Severity slips into sensuality, and what feels ordinary suddenly becomes strange again.

There is no single @prada woman here. She can be elegant and awkward, restrained and exposed, masculine and feminine, sometimes all at once.

Because at Prada, simplicity is never really simple. The familiar is only interesting when it starts to feel unfamiliar.

One skirt. A thousand contradictions.

  • Heaven after midnight.

For SS27, Seán McGirr brings @alexandermcqueen home to London, somewhere between the serenity of a Renaissance painting and the beautiful chaos of a South London rave.

Savile Row tailoring grows into angel wings. Bodies emerge through corsetry and sheer fabrics, while evening dresses feel made not for standing still, but for disappearing into the night.

There is something sacred in the disorder. Beauty gets dirtier, elegance loses its manners and transcendence is found somewhere between the chapel and the dancefloor.

This is London through McQueen: romantic, wrong and gloriously alive.

  • I’m trying to love you.

For SS27, @simonerocha_ searches for beauty where it was never meant to be found. Inspired by the rediscovery of Caravaggio’s The Taking of Christ, romance becomes something hidden, wounded and unexpectedly sacred.

Roses grow around the body, organza slips fall as if disturbed, while cocooned volumes protect what remains underneath. Delicacy meets leather, intimacy becomes spectacle and the ordinary is touched by something almost divine.

There is love here, but never without tension. The kind that clings, bruises and survives. A beauty made more precious by the possibility that it could have remained unseen.

  • What happens when the party is over, but you never really leave the room?

For SS27, @ashleywilliamslondon retreats inside the home, into a strange world where memories seem to have attached themselves to everything. Old florals become dresses, bedsheets become clothes, tights carry stuffed animals like forgotten possessions and femininity feels suspended somewhere between childhood and growing old.

Everything is familiar, yet slightly wrong. Sweetness turns uncanny, domesticity becomes theatrical, and the ordinary objects we live with begin to carry the weight of the lives that touched them.

There is sadness here, but also tenderness. A quiet acceptance of what remains when the outside world stops mattering.

Maybe beauty was never somewhere else.

Some stories are beautiful precisely because they remain unread.

For SS27, Alessandro Michele transforms @maisonvalentino into a library of possibilities, where clothes exist somewhere between what we are and everything we have yet to become.

Corsets, lace, feathers and oversized bows collide in a wardrobe that refuses to settle into a single identity. Colours interrupt one another, decades overlap and familiar codes are rewritten through an almost obsessive accumulation of beauty.

Inspired by Umberto Eco’s idea of the antilib rary, Michele imagines fashion as a collection of unrealised desires. Clothes become stories waiting for a body, characters waiting for a life, possibilities that may never need to become reality.

Some stories are beautiful precisely because they remain unread.

What if heritage didn’t have to feel heavy?

For SS27, Jonathan Anderson lets @dior move with the air. The architecture of the house begins to soften: tailoring becomes transparent, flowers float around the body and familiar silhouettes lose the rigidity that once defined them.

Nothing disappears. The Bar jacket is still there, the romance is still there, but the weight begins to dissolve.

There is something intimate about seeing history become this fragile. Tradition is no longer an armour to carry, but something that can move, change and breathe with the person wearing it.

Perhaps the lightest way forward is not to escape the past.

What if glamour didn’t need an occasion?

There is something intimate about this kind of glamour. It doesn’t wait for the evening, the camera or someone else’s attention. Sometimes it is simply a bright lip, a beautiful glove, or wearing something extraordinary on an entirely ordinary day.
What if glamour didn’t need an occasion?

What if the extraordinary was already hiding inside the ordinary?

For @balenciaga SS27, Pierpaolo Piccioli brings couture back into everyday life. A white shirt becomes sculptural, denim meets the precision of the atelier, while colour, fringe and organza grow around the body with the strange beauty of coral.

Nothing needs to become unrecognisable to feel new. The familiar remains familiar, only touched by another level of care.

There is freedom in that gesture: between structure and movement, simplicity and excess, the individual and everything that surrounds them.

Because sometimes transformation doesn’t mean becoming something else.

What happens when you let go of the weight?

For SS27, Louise Trotter lets Bottega Veneta breathe. Layers begin to fall away, leather becomes unexpectedly light and familiar techniques open up, allowing air, skin and movement to pass through.

Craft is everywhere, but it never feels precious. Intrecciato loosens, fringe moves around the body and flowers emerge from leather as if something rigid had suddenly learned how to grow.

There is a quiet sense of transition throughout. Between protection and exposure, structure and movement, one season and the next.

Nothing has been taken away. It has simply been made lighter.

Some things shine brighter because they cannot stay.

What if fashion stopped taking itself so seriously?

Who do you want to be tonight?

Who do you want to be tonight?

What do you keep when you don’t want to start again?

What if clothes forgot what they were supposed to be?

I like my body when it is with your body.

Perfection, slightly disturbed.

What if the simplest thing could say everything?

Because at Prada, simplicity is never really simple. The familiar is only interesting when it starts to feel unfamiliar.

One skirt. A thousand contradictions.
What if the simplest thing could say everything?

For SS27, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons begin with a single gesture: the skirt. Repeated, distorted, stripped back and embellished, it becomes less a garment than a space for contradiction.

Heaven after midnight.

I’m trying to love you.

What happens when the party is over, but you never really leave the room?
